47% of Beauty Appointments Are Booked Within 24 Hours. Is Your Google Profile Ready?
Nearly half of all beauty bookings happen within 24 hours of the decision being made. That is not a considered purchase. That is someone picking up their phone, searching, finding a business, and booking, all within the same afternoon.
The question is whether yours is visible and ready when that moment happens.
47%
Of beauty appointments are booked within 24 hours of the decision being made, according to Treatwell internal data covering 2025 to 2026, reported in Professional Beauty. This is not a slow, considered purchase. It is a fast, mobile-first decision driven by whoever shows up first and makes it easiest to say yes.

This Is Not How Most Beauty Businesses Are Set Up
Most beauty marketing is built around a slower journey. Post consistently. Build a following. Nurture people over time. Convert them eventually. That approach has its place, but it is not capturing the client who just decided she wants a lash lift this week and is on Google right now working out who to book.
That client is not waiting for your next Instagram post. She is not scrolling through your highlights. She is typing a search term, scanning the results, clicking the profile that looks credible and active, and booking. The whole process takes minutes. And if your Google Business Profile is not set up to meet her at that moment, she moves on to whoever is.
The 24-Hour Window Is Only Half the Story
The Treatwell stat is striking on its own. But it sits alongside two other figures that complete the picture.
81%
Of clients want to manage bookings outside regular business hours. They are making decisions in the evening, on their lunch break, at the weekend. If your profile does not have a working booking link at 9pm on a Tuesday, you are invisible at the exact moment they are ready to act.

71%
Of clients abandon a booking if the process is difficult or slow. They do not wait. They do not try again later. They close the tab and book whoever made it easier. Friction in the booking journey is not a minor inconvenience. It is a revenue problem.

Three stats. One argument. The client is making a fast decision, outside business hours, on a device that gives her multiple options in seconds. The businesses winning those bookings are not necessarily the best in the area. They are the most findable, the most credible at a glance, and the easiest to say yes to.
What a 24-Hour Booking Actually Requires From Your Google Profile
A Google Business Profile that sits there passively, half-completed, with photos from two years ago and no posts since last autumn, is not a 24-hour booking asset. It is a missed opportunity repeated every single day.
A profile that captures the 24-hour booker looks like this:
A booking link in the correct field. Not buried in the description. In the dedicated booking link field, so it shows as a button on mobile search results. If someone has to find your DMs to book, a significant number of them will not bother.
Services listed with real names, real prices, and real descriptions. Written in the language your clients actually search for, not the language your training provider used. If a client is searching for polynucleotides near me and your profile says advanced skin treatments, you are not matching her search.
Recent posts, at least weekly. Google uses posting activity as a credibility signal. A profile that has not posted since March looks closed, not established. Posts also give you a second opportunity to appear in search results for specific treatment terms alongside your location.
Recent reviews with responses. A profile with 60 reviews and the last one from eight months ago loses to a profile with 20 reviews where six are from the last three weeks. Recency signals you are active. Responses signal you care. Both are ranking factors.
Accurate hours, including holiday and seasonal changes. If a client checks your profile on a bank holiday and it says you are open when you are not, that is the last time she searches for you.
Photos that show what it is actually like to come to you. Your space. Your work. Recent. A Google profile with no photos or stock images does not give a fast decision-maker enough to go on.
You Cannot Convert a 24-Hour Booker You Cannot Be Found By
All of the above assumes someone can actually find your profile in the first place. Profile optimisation converts the visit. Local SEO is what drives the visit.
Your placement in Google's local results, the map pack that appears above everything else when someone searches for a beauty therapist in your area, is determined by relevance, proximity, and prominence. You cannot control proximity. You can control the other two.
Relevance is built through your categories, your service listings, and the language used throughout your profile and website. Prominence is built through review activity, post frequency, website signals, and consistent directory listings. None of it is complicated. All of it takes intention.
The 47% stat does not help you if you are not in the results they are looking at. The profile optimisation does not help you if Google is not sending anyone there. Both matter. Neither works without the other.
The beauty professionals getting booked consistently are not doing more. They are showing up in the right place, looking credible at a glance, and making it frictionless to say yes. That is a solvable problem. It just requires sorting the right things first.
